Finnegan's Journey
Finnegan's penultimate chemotherapy treatment was this past Friday. One more in early June and he's finished! I thought for a change of pace I'd bring the digital camera along and document the trip, to give folks an idea of what he has had to deal with for nearly 2 years.
Note the joyful expression on his face after having been loaded into the car.

Traffic jam on the westbound 407 near Dufferin Street. Morning rush hour is such fun.

Ahh, that's better! Heading west along the 401, near Milton. The Niagara Escarpment looms in the distance.

Are we there yet?

Yay! We've arrived.

The next three pictures are of the waiting room.

Finnegan greets his longtime oncologist, Vicky, who gracefully took the camera into the back for me to record the day.

Basking in some sunlight in a kennel while waiting for his turn.

Apparently, the smiles didn't last long after this picture was taken. Finnegan's body language here is an indicator of his mood on Friday. He was most uncooperative.

Pouting during the break he was given between the attempts to get the chemo i.v. into his hind leg(s). Fortunately, they were able to administer the drugs not long after this, and we were on our way home. No pictures of that portion of the journey, though, as we both wanted to make it home as quickly as possible.

Only one more trip, dude!

Hang in there, Finn dude! Chris and I send you pets and scritches. You're doing just awesome.
Thanks for the pics, Ceedy. Nice to see your gorgeous boy on screen.
Poor little guy.
(I meant the Finster, not you).
Finn: I pet you and wish you many more rays of sunlight to enjoy, dood.
He's such a handsome big fellow! Best wishes to you CanDragon, that your cat lives on a long and healthy life after all these ordeals.
